Aleksandra Milovanović (1993) has finished the Bachelor (2015) and Master (2017) academic studies of Architecture at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Architecture (UB-FA), where she enrolled in Doctoral academic studies (2017) and is currently working on her doctoral dissertation entitled The Role of Architectural Programming Methodology in the Process of Designing the Space Morphology: the Example of the Third Belgrade (mentorship: Prof. Dr. Vladan Đokić).

She was employed at UB-FA first as a Research Trainee (2018), then as a Research Assistant (2021). During 2018 and 2019, she was engaged in the scientific project TR 36034 Research and systematization of housing in Serbia in the context of globalization and European integration, in order to improve the quality and standards of housing, funded by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of Serbia (MESTDS). Since January 2020, she has been engaged as a researcher within the institutional model of financing researchers by MESTDS, and participates in the work of the Laboratory for Typology and Morphology of the City (Morpho-lab) and the Laboratory for Modern Heritage. Since November 2020, she has been engaged as a researcher and manager for dissemination and communication within the Erasmus+ project Enhancing of Heritage Awareness and Sustainability of Built Environment in Architectural and Urban Design Higher Education (HERSUS).

Aleksandra Milovanović is engaged in courses at the Department of Architecture, mainly in design studios in the field of housing at bachelor and master level, as well as in courses in the field of research methodology of architectural and urban design at the doctoral level.

Since January 2020, she has been engaged as a Coordinator of the UB-FA Research Center (CID), where she participates in the designing and organizing of extracurricular student activities, dissemination of student results, as well as coordinating the work of Research Laboratories. She is a member of several faculty commissions.

She has published a number of papers in conference proceedings and journals of international and national importance. As a participant in various author teams, she has won several awards at international and national architectural and urban design competitions. On several occasions, she has won awards for competition proposals and contribution to architectural education at international professional exhibitions (International Salon of Urbanism, International Exhibition On Architecture, Days of Architecture Banja Luka).
