The Faculty of Architecture – University of Belgrade, in collaboration with the Embassy of Japan in the Republic of Serbia, has the distinct honor of extending an invitation to the guest lecture “The Culture of Habitation: Ambassadors’ Residence” to be held by His Excellence Mr. Takahiko KATSUMATA, the Ambassador of Japan to Serbia at the Faculty of Architecture (Hall 200) on November 28, 2022 (Monday) at 6 PM.
This lecture is one of a number of activities marking 140 years of friendly relations between Serbia and Japan (1882-2022), as well as the established collaboration between the Faculty of Architecture and the Embassy of Japan in the fields of cultural exchange and deepening mutual understanding between our two countries.
His Excellency Mr. Katsumata will explain the challenges of a career diplomat, clarify different ways in which the Residence building is used in an official capacity and give recommendations to future architects on the best spatial strategies when designing this typology.
