The Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade and the City of Smederevo have started a new phase of broad DANUrB research with the first national DANUrB student workshop in Smederevo. This one-day field workshop was held at different locations throughout the city on 26 February 2018, although the weather conditions were very challenging.
Students of 1st and 2nd year of the Master Studies In Integral Urbanism and their mentors from the faculty visited the industrial heritage site (old steel mill), the historic town center with the Danube riverside, Smederevo Fortress and City Hall, where they had a joint workshop with representatives and experts from Smederevo City Council and Regional Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments.
