Ana Radivojević (1963) has finished under-graduated studies (1987), master’s (1998) and PhD (2003) at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Architecture. As part of her professional development she attended several specialized training courses, among them The First International Course on the Conservation of Ancient Masonry in Byzantine ArchitectureCAMBA in Thessaloniki, (1998) and The pilot course Sharing Conservation Science: vers un langage commun, in Paris (2001). In 2002, as part of doctoral thesis elaboration, she made a study research at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

 

In her research and professional work, she deals with topics aimed at the problems of sustainability of buildings, equally addressing both contemporary architecture and architectural heritage. The research focus is on building materials and building physics, with a special interest in traditional building materials, historical structures and building techniques.

 

Her professional involvement began in Energoprojekt, Urban Planning and Architecture, plc (1988-1993), and from 1993-94 school year she works at the Faculty of Architecture at Belgrade University. As a visiting professor she taught at the Faculty of Architecture in Podgorica. She has participated as an invited lecturer in several international and national seminars, conferences and courses.

 

So far, she has participated in a number of national and international scientific projectssome of which are: Energy Efficiency of Buildings – Assessment of Energy Performances of the Serbian Building Stock, (Faculty of Architecture, University of Belgrade and GIZ, 2010-2013), ERASMUS + project KLABS – Creating the Network of Knowledge Labs for Sustainable and Resilient Environments, (2015-2018), as well as ERASMUS + strategic partnership project HERSUS Enhancing of Heritage Awareness and Sustainability of Built Environment in Architectural and Urban Design Higher Education, (2020-2023).

 

She is the author of numerous papers published in national and international scientific journals, proceedings from conferences, as well as mongraphs and chapters in scientific monographs. From the published monographs it can be singled out: Structures and Building Techniques of Ancient Rome (2004), Atlas of Family housing in Serbia (with a group of authors, 2012), Atlas of Family housing in Serbia (with a group of authors, 2013), National Typology of Residential Buildings in Serbia (with a group of authors, 2013) and Bricks in Late Antiquity- Records in the Material (2018), as well as chapters in monographs: “Sustainability and the material aspect of traditional residential buildings in Serbia” (with M.Roter-Blagojević and Lj.Đukanović), in Materials for a Healthy, Ecological and Sustainable Built Environment (2017), “Material aspect of energy performance and thermal comfort in buildings“ (with Lj.Đukanović) in Book 4 Energy: Resources and Building Performance of KLABS book series (2018) and Bricks in Late Antiquity – Records in the Material (2018) and “Approach to design for resilience to climate change“ (with S.Kosanović and B.Folić) in Book 5 Approaches, Methods and Tools for Sustainable and Resilient Building Design of KLABS book series (2018).

 

She is a member of Serbian Chamber of Engineers, Serbian Association of Architects, Serbian Association of Conservators, ICOMOS Serbia.
