We are pleased to introduce the new book: Peter Eisenman In Dialogue With Architects And Philosophers, edited by Vladan Djokić and Petar Bojanić, and published by Mimesis International.

This book is the result of the two-day conference ISSUES? Concerning The Projects Of Peter Eisenman that was held on November 11th and 12th, 2013 in Belgrade (conference videos are available at University of Belgrade – Faculty of Architecture YouTube Channel), where Peter Eisenman discussed different issues with architects and philosophers: Jörg H. Gleiter (Germany), Kim Förster (Switzerland), Preston Scott Cohen (USA), Emmanuel Petit (USA), Mario Carpo (USA), Sarah M. Whiting (USA), Manuel Orazi (Italy), John McMorrough (USA), Gabriele Mastrigli (Italy), Panayotis Pangalos (Greece), Cynthia Davidson (USA), Ingeborg M. Rocker (USA), Alejandro Zaera-Polo (USA), Djordje Stojanović (Serbia), Greg Lynn (USA) performing on the stage for two days.

Thematic frameworks within which Peter Eisenam led the discussion were:
Form.space (with: Preston Scott Cohen, Sarah M. Whiting, Emmanuel Petit, Jörg H. Gleiter) / Digital.analog (with: Mario Carpo, Ingeborg Rocker, Preston Scott Cohen, Đorđe Stojanović) / Discipline.autonomy (with: Ingeborg Rocker, Sarah M. Whiting, Gabriele Mastrigli, Alejandro Zaera-Polo, Greg Lynn) / History: Alberti, Palladio (with: Jörg H. Gleiter, Panayotis Pangalos, Mario Carpo, Emmanuel Petit / Differentiating Eisenman (with: Cynthia Davidson, Manuel Orazi, Kim Förster, John McMorrough) / Against Eisenman (with: John McMorrough, Panayotis Pangalos, Kim Förster, Manuel Orazi) and beside that there are two conversations: ARCHEOLOGY SQUARED (in dialogue with: Vladan Djokić) / PETER EISENMAN THE LAST/NEXT FIFTY YEARS OF ARCHITECTURE (in dialogue with: Aleksandar Kušić and Nataša Janković).

The book, and the event that preceded it, represent an innovative methodological framework and dynamic theoretical approach to the development of contemporary architectural thought. The exchange of thoughts in the form of dialogue between architects and philosophers with different social and cultural roots improves and makes vital architectural discipline.
