At Venice Biennale, Erasmus+ project – KLABS will organise a workshop MY_RES, an open debate where participants will have the opportunity to discuss the relation of their work to the challenges of resilience and sustainability. KLABS brings together 11 academic institutions from various regions of Europe, each of them bringing its own perception of current condition and specific path to a “promising” future.

While the workshop’s title is MY_RES, referring to the issues related to the general scope of the project (FOR SUSTAINABLE AND RESILIENT ENVIRONMENTS), workshop’s result are envisioned as OUR_RES, referring to the common points of interest, nodes identified through the debate that could evolve into bonds, strengthening the relations and defining the scope of collaboration between the participants. RES can be interpreted as short from RESilience or Resilience-Ecology-Sustainability or RESearch or RESolution or … – bring your own RES to Biennale!

The project Creating the Network of Knowledge Labs for Sustainable and Resilient Environments (acronym KLABS) is capacity building action in the field of higher education, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union. KLABS is the pioneering educational platform that addresses two current and equally important challenges of urban and rural built environments in Western Balkan – sustainability and resilience to climate change.

Workshop will take place at the Serbian pavilion at the Giardini on Thursday, 14 July 2016 at 14:30 – come and join us!
