Nikola Milanović (1989), graduated from the Faculty of Architecture, University of Belgrade (2013), is currently a PhD student and has been teaching assistant since 2016 at the Department of Architecture.

He is engaged in scientific research and professional work in the field of architectural design and contemporary architecture. As a doctoral candidate he was engaged in the project of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Serbia: Research and systematization of housing development in Serbia in the context of globalization and European integrations for the purpose of improving housing quality and standards (from 2018). He is the author of several papers presented at international scientific conferences. He is active in conducting numerous scientific conferences and is engaged as a member of organizational boards. In the field of profession, he works through the architectural studio URED (2013), which brings together a team of designers and researchers of the younger generation. In addition to architectural design, as a responsible project designer, he works in the organization and management of projects and performing professional supervision during the construction of buildings. He has participated in architectural and urban planning competitions, numerous exhibitions, workshops and other activities aimed at contributing to academia and the wider community.

As an author or part of a team of authors, he has won several awards at architectural and urban design competitions and has achieved notable results at national and international exhibitions for realized projects, the most prominent being the C6 – Collective Housing (Kragujevac Serbia) at the VIII Minsk International Biennale of Young Architects “LEONARDO 2019″; Finalist of the Archdaily – Building of the Year Award 2016 in the selection of the top five projects in the Refurbishment category for the project Impact Hub Belgrade; Recognition of the 38th Salon of Architecture within the category Architecture for realized work Primus Center in Kragujevac (2016); Recognition from the Serbian Chamber of Engineers for the best project of architects under age 35 at the 1st Days of Architecture Kragujevac 2015 for the project Primus Center in Kragujevac.

He is the representative of the nomination jury on the territory of Serbia and Montenegro for the European ECOLA Award (2019). He is engaged in the work of the Commission for Quality Assurance and Improvement in the Faculty of Architecture’s self-evaluation process (2018/2019). He has been a member of the Serbian Chamber of Engineers since 2016.
