Marija Cvetković was born in 1990 in Belgrade. From 1996 to 2007, she lived in Moscow (Russia), where she had finished primary and secondary school. She enrolled at the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Architecture in 2007, where she completed Bachelor (2010) and Master Academic Studies (2012), after which she enrolled in Doctoral Academic Studies. She defended her doctoral dissertation entitled Model For Assessing The Impact Of Shopping Centres On Urban Environment (2020).

 

She has been actively participating in teaching as an associate-volunteer since 2013. Since 2014, she is working as a Teaching assistant at the Department of Urbanism, and since 2021 she has been an Teaching assistant with PhD. She participates in teaching in numerous classes of OASA, IASA, MASA and MAS IU programs, as well as in the realization of workshops, exhibitions and projects within the Architectural faculty. She is a member of several faculty commissions and performs the function of the secretary of the MAS IU department.

 

Since 2018, she has been involved in research project no. III 43007 entitled Research on climate change and its impact on the environment: monitoring the impact, adaptation and mitigation, as a young researcher in the international project DANube Urban Brand – a regional network building through tourism and education to strengthen the “Danube” cultural identity and solidarity – DANUrB (2017-2019) within the INTERREG Danube cross-border cooperation program, and since 2020 she has been a researcher in the scientific research laboratory: Vital Places Lab.

 

She has participated in numerous international workshops and competitions, and her works have been exhibited at international and regional exhibitions. As an active participant in scientific research, she is the author of a large number of scientific papers in international and national scientific journals. She has been working in architectural practice since 2012 and participates in the development of architectural and urban projects and competitions.
