Vanja Spasenović was born in 1994 in Belgrade. She graduated from the Faculty of Architecture – University of Belgrade in 2018, where she enrolled in doctoral studies in the same year.

Vanja Spasenović started her professional career as a student by taking part in architectural design competitions, while at the same time participating in undergraduate and master’s academic studies at the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade as a Teaching Associate. She was enlisted as a Teaching Assistant for the scientific field of Architectural Design at the Faculty of Architecture – University of Belgrade in 2020.

As an author, she displays works at national and international exhibitions in the field of art, architecture and urbanism, such as Salon of Architecture in Belgrade, Salon of Architecture in Novi Sad, Balkan Architectural Biennale and Designing Complexity. She has won awards and honors at international competitions within various author teams, namely Stattwerk – Balkan Eco Center on Zeleni venac (2017), Viewpoint of the Fjords (2018), River block and walk Zenica (2019) and Interio (2020).

She actively presents her scientific research at international scientific gatherings and conferences in the field of architecture and art. In 2019 she acquired the status of a scholarship holder as a doctoral researcher at the XIX Public Call for Scholarships for PhD Students and Involvement in Scientific Research Projects of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development on project TR 36064: Research and Systematization of Housing in Serbia in the Context of Globalization and European Integration toward promotion of quality and standards of housing. She is involved as a researcher within the Laboratory Vitalna mesta: Vital Places Lab in the Center for Research Activity (CID) of the Faculty of Architecture – University of Belgrade.
