Dr Aleksandra Stupar je profesor na Arhitektonskom fakultetu Univerziteta u Beogradu, gde je diplomirala (1997), magistrirala (2001) i doktorirala (2005). Od 2017. godine je rukovodilac Departmana za urbanizam.

Aktivno učestvuje u brojnim domaćim i međunarodnim istraživačkim projektima i radionicama, objavljujući članke i poglavlja u nacionalnim i internacionalnim časopisima i monografijama usmerenim na probleme savremenih gradova i njihove fenomene. Koautor je ili član ekspertskog tima više studija i planskih dokumenata.

Dr Stupar je autor dve nagrađene knjige – ‘Grad globalizacije – izazovi, transformacije, simboli’ (2009) i ‘Grad – forme i procesi’ (2016; drugo izdanje 2019). 2012. godine je bila gost urednik tematskog broja časopisa Serbian Architectural Journal (‘City vs. Innovation’). Kao istraživač i predavač je do sada gostovala na sledećim institucijama – Institute for Advanced Studies on Science, Technology and Society (IAS-STS) Graz (2007, 2011), University of Tampere – School of Humanities and Social Sciences (2010-2013), Sapienza Università di Roma – Facoltà di architettura Valle Giulia (2006,2008-9), University of Helsinki – Faculty of Social Sciences (2019).

Član je ISOCARP-a (International Society of City and Regional Planners), gde je bila i deo naučnog komiteta (2013-16). Nacionalni je predstavnik u AESOP-u (od 2018).
