About the lecture:
Tatsuo Iwaoka is a professor of Tokyo University of Science and head of the department. He has studied the architectural design method based on the survey of the scale and module in various living environments such as a building, village, open space, urban area etc..

Taking advantage of his studies of the design method for the urban house, and he has put them to practical design. Various experimental house projects have been designed and realized by him in midtown Tokyo as the outcome of his studies. Also, his books in terms of the design method in urban housing are published.

Biography:
1960 Born in Nagasaki, Japan
1978-85 Bachelor and Master student of Musashino Art University (Master of Art)
1987-88 Research student of National School of Architecture in Paris No.8 (=Belleville)
1985-90 Doctor student of Tokyo Institute of Technology (Dr. of Engineering)
1995-2003 Associate Professor of Tokai University
2003- 2011 Professor of Tokai University
2011- Professor of Tokyo University of Science
2016 Visiting Professor of National School of Architecture and Landscape in Lille (=E.N.S.A.P.L. )
